We routinely deal in US Dollars and in €uros but request that customers use only one currency and not switch or pay in another. To minimise costs, please pay us by electronic transfer (BACS or wire transfer) - please prepay all bank charges. We welcome payment by credit card - Mastercard or Visa and do not make a surcharge for credit cards. Our merchant account is in £'s and your card will be debited in £'s - your bank will convert from £'s to your own currency at their rate on the date on which the card is debited. Credit terms are available to customers who forsee a long term relationship with us.If you wish to open an account please request a credit application form from your sales rep - this form should be returned by mail with details of trade references. Outbound Shipping Policy - "Ex-works"By default we use the excellent UPS. We are a "known shipper" to UPS and freight leaving our warehouse receives priority treatment through security procedures.. The UPS Express-Standard service provides overnight (next business day) delivery to most places in the UK and EU. Customers outside the EU, can expect 2-3 working days. If you need special services such as delivery before noon - please check the availability of services with your sales rep. We have standardised freight charges for shipments under 10kg; currently these are £12.50 for delivery within the UK and £30 or $50 or €50 for delivery to most other places worldwide (out of area surcharges may apply for unusual or remote destinations). Over 10kg - please ask. You can track your UPS shipment on-line by using the links above. If you prefer to use your own carrier please advise at the time you place your order; you will need an account with the carrier and you must pay the cost of freight direct to your carrier. Please note that we may not be a "known shipper" to your carrier therefore additional security inspections may be required prior to loading on an aircraft; additionally we are not on a regular collection route for other carriers therefore allow extra time in transit.
Instructions for returning items
We want our customers to be 100% happy every time they buy from us. If you have any service problem, query or comment we want to hear from you and want to use the opportunity as a learning experience to help us do better next time. Please email our quality manager quality@licomp.com quoting our invoice number and your order number. You should receive an immediate response acknowledging your comment followed by the results of our internal investigation. Very occasionally you may wish to advise shipping discrepancy or return goods. To minimise the impact of shipping issues, please always check carefully the state of parcels as they are delivered and raise any "damaged in transit" concerns with delivery driver - make a note on his delivery docket. Unfortunately, the delivery couriers strictly apply their conditions of carriage which require an immediate notification of damage in transit.
Return Material Authorisation ProcedurePlease inspect and test all goods immediately on receipt, and notify us of any defects or non-conformance within 7 days. If you feel you need to return goods to us - please request a "return material authorisation" (RMA) number from your sales representative. (Please note we can not accept returns without a valid RMA number.) When you receive an RMA number please return the goods by UPS to our warehouse in Harlow, England - not to our administration office in Scotland. Your sales rep will give you full details of our UPS account and the return address when we issue an RMA number. We will accept UPS charges on our UPS account if the goods are returned to the correct address with a valid RMA number. In all other cases, freight charges will be the resonsibility of the shipper. Please do not ship goods back without a valid RMA number; goods returned without an RMA number will be refused.
